Space Moguls – Updated version

Space Moguls for the Commodore 64 is a great looking homage to the strategy classic M.U.L.E. that we released back in 2018. Coder Carl-Henrik Skårstedt has recently picked up the game project again in order to attend to a couple of bugs and to clean up some art issues.

For those of you who have already purchased Space Moguls from either our online Protovision Shop or our Itch.Io page, you can access the updated digital version via the download link you were originally supplied when you made your purchase.

Yeti Mountain Gold Edition Open For Pre-Orders

Yeti Mountain is our Gold Cartridge release for 2024 and we are pleased to announce that we have opened pre-orders for this limited edition.

Dust off your ski equipment and your investigative skills as you head off on a multi-genre gaming adventure to find the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of your best friend from Yeti Mountain. Is the dangerous natural terrain to blame or is there something else lurking in the shadows?

To be eligible to order this special edition, you must be a Protovision supporter via Patreon, Tipeee or the Protopad campaign or you purchased more than 250 Euros of items from the Protovision Shop.

Pre-orders for the regular edition of Yeti Mountain will be announced in the next few months.

Lykia – work on update completed

We are pleased to announce that the work on adjusting Lykia to work with our new cartridge design has been completed and we are ready to start producing the gold editions of the game. We expect to be able to start shipping these carts out to customers in 3 weeks. The duplication of Lykia standard carts will commence once we receive our large order of our brand new PCBs from our supplier.

A Pig Quest Gold Carts ready for production

We are just about there! We have commenced duplication of the gold carts for A Pig Quest and we will start to ship these out to customers in 2 to 3 weeks. The production of standard editions will commence once we receive our large order of our brand new PCBs.

Lykia Update

As announced in our earlier post, our new cartridge design is now fully functional and tested to be working on C64s, C128s, Mega65, Ultimate64 and more!

However, we had to make adjustments to its design for various reasons, most notably the unavailability of certain components, which in turn means that the games to be used with it (such as Lykia) need adaptation. We are currently awaiting for the development team to make the required changes from their side and once we receive the updated build of Lykia, we will be able to start shipping (after another final test on our hardware).

Please note that shipping to all customers will take a number of months to complete as we only have limited capacity to process orders. We will first complete Gold cartridge orders before sending out the standard versions.

A Pig Quest Update

We have some great news – our new cartridge design is now fully functional and passed all tests on C64s, C128s, Mega65, Ultimate 64 and whatnot! Finally a host for bigger games!

However, we had to make adjustments to its design for various reasons, most notably the unavailability of certain components, which in turn means that the games to be used with it (such as A Pig Quest) need adaptation. While we are still waiting for the game updates, the Piggy 18 team has told us they are practically ready and will send us the new version after a final playtest. Once we receive the updated build of A Pig Quest, we will be able to start shipping (after another final test on our hardware).

Yeti Mountain update – Reset Stage Progress Added

20.01.2024

A new version release of Yeti Mountain is now available. This update introduces a ‚Reset Stage‘ option at all save checkpoints that will allow you reset the countdown timer without restarting the game all over again. This option will be useful for those of you who find that you have saved your game with very little time left on the countdown timer.

For stage 1, resetting your progress means that your timer will be reinstated to 60 minutes but you will lose any clues you have collected and any items found after interrogating the key witness (you keep all other items and your ski completions are retained).

For stage 2, resetting your progress means that your timer will be reinstated to 60 minutes but all stage 2 progress will be lost (this allows you to play through stage 2 again without having to complete stage 1).

If you wish to retain your save progress from the original release version, please make sure to save that progress to disk and then load up that disk save using the new release build.

To download the new version of Yeti Mountain, simply use the download link you were provided when you made your purchase of the game.
